The world tells me
What I should be
That it's the only one there
Too bad;
The world doesn't really care

My daddy sees
My father walks
He dries my tears
And takes my hand

"Look, my daughter,
See this world?
It doesn't matter
The best is yet to come."

The world tells me
I gotta see
With my own two eyes
to believe;
The world tells lies

My daddy sees
My father walks
He dries my tears
And takes my hand

"Look, my daughter,
See these tears?
For every tear you cry,
You get back in happy times."

The question is thus;
The world tells me one thing
My Father another
I wonder which is true

The world says I'll never amount to anything
The Father says I'm his everything

And people wonder why I believe in God.

This is a poem about God. I like it a lot. Bible flamers can just go. I respect your disagreement with my religion, I think it's only fair that you respect mine.

That said. I worked a lot on this. It pretty much explains why I'm a Christian. My apologies to the kind people who are not Christians and might find this annoying, pointless or offensive. I didn't intend it that way. Like everything, it's about how I feel.

So....yeah.

I like this poem, it reminds me of when I first really started my relationship with Jesus.
But the one line, "it doesn't matter", It's true, the world doesn't matter, but the thing is, other people do matter, other people's tears matter to Him as much as my own. So I have a reason to stay, is for those people. To bring them to Christ :)
